Camping in Wapakoneta, Ohio
Right after we got the motorhome, we took a short trip over to Wapakoneta, Ohio, to test the motorhome. First thing, we broke the trim of the counter over the fireplace by not making sure the passenger chair retracting fully. Lesson learned. An expensive lesson. Once we got set up, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere.
We spent the weekend at the Wapakoneta KOA in Ohio. This campground is located north of Dayton. The campsites were close but not imposing.
We did notice that the campground was incredibly clean and updated. The pizza delivery to your site is a definite plus.
This is the first time we saw a mining station at a KOA. You can buy a bag of dirt then sift through it to find gems and fossils. It looked like fun.
